The Respect for Life Committee at St. Eulalia's started the Maternity Closet in May 1999. Our mission is to support mothers and their babies by giving them diapers, wipes, clothes, and equipment. This service is provided to anyone regardless of race, creed, or color.
Women of the Parish meet and fold clothes and prepare for the Saturday event on Thursday prior to the first Saturday of the month. Please contact Julie Handwenger if you are available to help with Thursday or Saturday events.
The Closet is open the first Saturday morning of every month from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. There are about 15 women from our parish that takes turns folding clothes and manning the store.
Donations of clothing and equipment not only come from our parish, but those in the outside community.
The diapers are purchased by the committee with the help of generous parishioners, the Knights of Columbus, and the Catholic Daughters of America.
